Ishka show cancelled!

The previously advertised Ishka show that was on tonight at the Barwon Club has been cancelled.

Sleep Parade, Tread and Ishka at the Barwon Club Tomorrow Night

Just got this on the myspace grapevine:

Come one and all to enjoy a night or some of Victorias best music all on one stage. With a lighting show to remember and an alternative DJ to spin all your favourite tracks between the bands. Non-stop Pleasure at the Barwon Club in Geelong on the 24th April.

SLEEP PARADE:
Have spent the last 3 years forging a name for themselves in every corner of the Melbourne music scene, from supports with prog-metal band Karnivool, to an all-acoustic gig with punk-rockers, Kisschasey! They have honed not only their song-writing, but also their performance skills to a world-class standard.

TREAD:
“…these hard-working Melbourne sons have done an immaculate job of producing a work which never once comes off as anything less than genuine and infinitely listenable.

ISHKA:
Nor will i insert some review with a thousand colourful adjectives in it to try show you what to think (simply because we haven’t got any haha). I’m sure you can make up your own mind.

* We like music… as a form of expression of emotion, of art, of life.

* We do it because we love it.

* We are not here to play your same old generic 3 minute pop bullshit…
* We’re writing stuff we want to hear, if any one else likes it, as we hope you will, that’s just an added bonus.
